How to get here
To get from Rome airport to Positano take the ring road (Grande Raccordo Anulare) and follow directions to A1 Milano Napoli. Then take Napoli direction. You will have to drive this highway for about 1h.30minutes for circa 200 kms (circa 130 miles); pay attention when passing Caserta Sud exit (do not leave the highway) as you will have to follow the signs to Autostrada SALERNO A3 (make sure you won't use the highway to SALERNO A30 as this will lengthen your trip by one extra hour). Drive towards Napoli.
After about 15 kms (ten miles circa) you will pass through the toll booth of Autostrada A3 to Salerno and proceed on this motorway for CASTELLAMMARE di Stabia where will exit. Go straight (don't turn right). There is a lengthy road to Sorrento then two extended tunnels which will lead to a panoramic road by the sea. Follow signs on your left to Positano - Praiano - Amalfi.
Follow this road and when you arrive in Positano, take the one-way road on your right towards the centre and stop in front of Hotel Poseidon; this is our parking which is available at 20€ per day.
The most convenient railway station is Napoli Centrale, where on a lower level you can get a Circumvesuviana local train to Sorrento; buses (SITA )for Positano leave from the square in front of Circumvesuviana station at Sorrento almost every hour.

The centre of the village of Positano and the main beach are at a short walk away but at about 200 steps.
